WHAT’S MISSING?

Teachers aim for their pupils to make the most of the
EFL training that is provided. However for children to consolidate
their learning they need extensive practice. Ideally this is done individually
so that children can learn at their own pace and in a way driven by themselves. However in practice this is hard to realize. Teacher’s time for personalised training is very limited and suitable training material that is ready made, consistent with core learning materials, fun to use and available for a wide range of skills and ages is hard to find.

HOW WE CAN HELP

TIME CHALLENGE - PRACTISE ENGLISH is a series of three CD-ROM discs which helps young learners aged 7 to 14 to practise their early EFL language skills. Practise English is designed to be used alongside existing schemes of work which support learning English in the classroom.

Children at school will typically use an EFL scheme which uses paper or audio based methods to acquire English language skills. Practise English supports this by enabling the children to reinforce their learning via enjoyable, target-driven practice games on the computer. Themes and vocabulary are carefully chosen to be consistent with most major EFL schemes, e.g. myself, animals, sports & hobbies, etc. Comprehension games incorporate pictures and audio as extra aids to understanding.

Practise English is also suitable for use at home under parental guidance to further strengthen progress made at school.
